Gracias a quienes me hayan contactado y me alegra muchisimo 

quien me haya contactado estan bien con sus familias. En medio

 de este desastre, yo se sin duda alguna que el pueblo de Chile

se levantara y movera adelante. Mis pensamientos y oraciones estan

 con todos los afectados con esta situacion.

Les doy una  introduccion a mi , mis pensamientos sobre el mundo de Robotech, Harmony Gold y de alguna de la gente "loca" que habita dentro de ella!

Para mi Robotech es una historia para disfrutar, NO UNA GUERRA SANTA ni un medio para hacer amenazas de muerte o promesas de violencia. Usando a Robotech para eso me parece ridiculo y patetico a la "enesima potencia!"

Queria extender una invitacion al aficionado de Iberoamerica para celebrar el vigesimo quinto Aniversario de la franquicia de una manera especial en conocer sus "Memorias/Recuerdos de Robotech"...

THE ROBOTECH FILES - Something that I left out in Episode 1 (a million years ago!) and I said I would give it it's own spot. The ROBOTECH ART BOOKS! I've had Art 1 since '85. It's seen better days, but still part of the collection!

These are hard to come by as they were published back in the mid eighties. If your try Ebay or Amazon.com, it might cost you a pretty penny, but every now and then you will see people sell all three at a pretty decent price! (That's how I got my new set!) The books themselves have their charm and are a welcome edition to any fan's collection.

I have always said that if there was ever a Robotech magazine, she would be the head writer/editor of it. Thank you so much for the time you offered to my questions. IN THE ROBOTECH SPOTLIGHT - THE GRANDDADDY OF SPOTLIGHTS! Time to dust myself off and get into ANNIVERSARY MODE BABY! (March 4th for those that don't know!)

RANDOM THOUGHTS 02/24/10...WHO THE F*** SWEARS TO ROBOTECH???

Another round of whatever is on my mind....things just bouncin' around in the noggin!

With the last RandomCast, it really tested me as I was very passionate about the subject. Tested me in the way that I didn't want to forget myself and just let things degrade to a point that I would regret.

Any fool can do that....I prefer to take the harder path and try to present myself with a little more decency. But, in the world of podcasting, every listener is going to have his or her opinion about the host. 

And that doesn't bother me. I encourage it! (Boy, am I asking for it!)

Thanks to everyone for their comments on it and I say again, if you have anything to add about the UEG-Harmony Gold situation, the door is open...

But switching gears...

Still trying to figure out what to do for Episode 18? I have some segments ready to go, but it's not complete...

Thinking of something totally interactive for March,  ANNIVERSARY MONTH BABY!  Stay tuned....

The new Zentraedi Battlepod that was put on sale this week "looks" pretty cool....I'll admit that....but on the heels of the Maia Sterling Alpha fiasco 2.0....anybody that purchases it..."BUYER BEWARE"....get word out there if you buy one and it's defective...or even if it's fine...it's only fair.

The following was written by someone calling themself a "Robotech fan";

"I swear too to follow, harass, terrorize, and EXTERMINATE any Macross Purist I find in my path."

WHAT THE F*CK IS THAT? When Robotech, an ANIMATED SERIES becomes some kind of stupid holy quest or a call to violence...it's dangerous, but supremely PATHETIC! 

You know this is one of the most retarded things I have ever read. And for what? A battle between two series and where one of them borrows from the other! 

Oh boy, here comes the Macross Purist accusations....

Lots of internet tough guys out there...and this over AN ANIMATED SERIES.....

But to the person who needed to "swear" to commit crimes over Robotech, YOU are a real LOSER!

All this over an animated series...unbelievable....

And this may come as a surprise to you....but all things aside...I think that even Tommy Yune would call these people losers....

Speaking of fanatics, Robotech's most asinine spokesperson Maverick_LSC just keeps at it. I gotta hand it to the little trooper!  But talk about throwing softballs! And the people chiming in on him is growing in numbers! It's not even funny anymore.....

As I feared memo, Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles may have been too cerebral for most fans to take. Having a reknowned Hugo award winner and Hard SF writer of the caliber such as that of Robert J. Sawyer, might of been one reason why some fans cannot comprehend the hidden underlaying and subset that's hidden within the context of the plot.

I guess to really appreciated Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles you need to atleast have a masters degree, ethier that or dumb it down for the average otaku to comprehend for the next sequel in Robotech: Shadow Rising.

'Space whales or sniper mechs, anyone?'

So once again, those fans that don't agree with him, Robotech's resident entitlement whore has made a "statement" to be accepted as gospel or else he will use his "mod" powers to come after all those who "hurt" him.

The fact that you can "understand" Shadow Chronicles...more power to you...it's not something I would brag about dude...people are starting to talk.....LOL!

Just come out and say you're better than us already!....Get it out of your system!

Now to be fair, he later said he was trying to imitate Seto Kaiba, a former member there. And this was only said after MEMO HIMSELF questioned Mav's scruples....

It's another case of Maverick inserting his foot into his mouth or ass...really doesn't matter anymore, it's all the same...then being chastised by one of his own and backpedaling...but too late! The damage is done to himself...yet AGAIN!

And pssst Einstein...about Seto..he actually HATES Shadow Chronicles....so you FAIL at imitations too.

And let me make something clear, when it comes to my rhetoric about Maverick, it's just an opinion....nothing more...BUT nothing less.....hee hee! I'm sure he has a very low opinion of me and he's entitled to hate me for all I've said about him...though he needs to realize that he's not the ONLY ONE with an opinion.

Yet, I think I've figured him out...

Maverick, the poor chap, needs, desires, DEMANDS VALIDATION from the Robotech fandom. Validation for all he's said to us.....

...that we all have OCD

...that he knows better than us what "real life" is all about

...that he knows that Paramount Studios is "quaking in their books"

....that Robotech fans who question his keeper Kevin Mckeever  are "misguided"

....that he's a "regular guy"...(yeah, even I'm perplexed as to what that means, must mean no constipation I guess...)

But above all else...to validate and acknowledge his elite status as a Robotech.com moderator and his contributions as such in vanquishing all those who cause him "pain and suffering".

I can't believe I'm going to do this...but Maverick....YOU WIN.....OK?

While something I had not planned out....this was the FIRST TIME ever that I did a recording in one take. Just straight from the hip and what was in me. I want to thank you beforehand for letting me vent. It's a damn shame what happened to UEG, but they will move  forward!

FIRST...UEG, you guys rock! In comparison to the big ol' bully, UEG was almost  able to do what Harmony Gold couldn't, being able to give the fans something NEW to enjoy! GREAT JOB AND PUSH FORWARD!

And Harmony Gold, since you ARE reading this, all I can ask is what will you guys do "next" to the fan projects? If you don't like fans putting out stuff, then you  boys better get your asses in motion on something and remember you already got TWO strikes against you...

STRIKE TWO: Shadow Chronicles sucked.....one fan's opinion....though I think there are quite a few that would agree! LMAO!

And since Shadow Rising (someone let Steve Yun know the name of it!) is the continuation of Chronicles......can we say....ANOTHER SWING AND A MISS!

Live Action Movie - Hopefully WB can do something with it. I still say 1 chance in 5...and here's to the hope that  Warner Bros. is keeping Tommy and the rest fffffffaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrr away from the production. SALUD! (listeners moment to drink!)

A FEW WORDS ABOUT THE UEG PRODUCTIONS/HG SITUATION

A few thoughts;

A group of fans putting so much effort, initiative and drive in this project. NOT for financial gain, but because they love Robotech.

It now appears that loving it is an offense to those who control it...

I can say a lot about Harmony Gold, but their actions speak so much more than any commentary ever could.

I wish UEG Productions all the good fortune in the world with their future endeavors, which I will be following. Remember guys;

"When one door of happiness closes, another opens...."

Walk away with your heads up high on a job well done, you've earned it.

For me, the fan-based Robotech productions (fiction, art, UEG, constructions) will ALWAYS be the greatest asset that the franchise will ever have, only second to the Original 85.

These people, these fans, do it with HEART.

And THAT is what differentiates them....

Ah screw it! I actually DO have a few words about Harmony Gold. Since they DO visit this website along with their cronies Fric and Frac; 

The beauty of it....no forum to be banned from!

And remember folks, this is one fan's opinion, nothing more...but nothing less...

To issue a cease and desist order on a true labor of love shows the true heart you guys show to the Robotech.

Tommy Yune, let's be honest, you just can't handle anything that isn't your baby, The Shadow Chronicles. Kinda like the Original 85 you ditched. A lot fans will tell you to take YOUR "original" creation with all its DVD sales and cram it up your "can't draw Speed Racer to save his life" ass. You're probably one of the retards that actually paid $80 for Prelude to the Shadow Chronicles on Ebay.  

Now what is it that you actually DO at Harmony Gold by the way? If you base your tenure there with Shadow Chronicles, we're looking at EPIC PHAIL here...

Kevin Mckeever, word has it you were the one to start all this against UEG. Did they turn down your resume for a job as a promotor? Let me say, you couldn't promote a Tidy Bowl commercial if you were sitting on the f*cking can. 

And I know, I know Kevin, you CAN'T talk about jobs you've been fired from....

Since this cease and desist kind of shuts down the Genesis website, let's talk about Robotech.com.

A site "administered" by one Steve Yun, The effort he puts there shows what he thinks about the general Robotech fandom. He takes a couple of of easy "marks" by the name of Memo and Mav and puts them up for public ridicule and humiliation. I may not "warm up" up to Fric and Frac, but even I'm against cruelty to dumb animals!

Somebody get me the number to PETA!

And Steve, talk about leeching off your brother! Get yourself a real job you bum.....

And Memo, why do I have this feeling you also had a hand in this? I wonder if Harmony Gold will shut down your Vermillion Productions now? Or did they give you a "pass"?

THE ROBOTECH FILES - We finish off the Original 85 novels with the the New Generation Books, Invid Invasion, Metamorphosis, and Symphony of Light!

What is next for the novel readings?....We'll see...I love 'em but it wore me out and I definitely don't have a future in audiobooks, LOL! With the Sentinels, I plan to include them in a SUPER show, and maybe I'll read some excerpts, but not like this. But anything is possible in the end!

ROBOTECH WEB GEM - This is probably the most special gem that I will ever have the privilege of talking about. The official tribute site to the late Brian Daley, one half of Jack Mckinney.

RANDOM THOUGHTS 02/11/10

Hey everyone!

From the homefront back with you with another round of ramblings or Random Thoughts (the more politically correct way to say it) about that thingamajigger called Robotech!

- Who's allowed to have opinions about Robotech?....EVERYONE! 

- Carl Macek is back with Robotech....we'll see what happens.  I'm NOT gonna buy into the whole "OMG Robotech is saved!!!" No matter what, I'll always be grateful to him and the production crew who adapted Robotech!

- Can Tommy Yune's infamous ego be able to share the limelight with Carl?

- Ok...so no Shadow Rising or Live Action Movie for the foreseeable future...that's ok with me as I don't think they'll happen...why not go another route with the franchise so as not to conflict with those two golden calves? Maybe celebrate what made all of that possible...the Original 85 perhaps?

- I DON'T delude myself that The Protoculture Times changes anything in Robotech. I'm a small potato operation here. This podcast isn't here to change ANYTHING. I celebrate Robotech in my way. It's a show about one fan's journey and I've been blessed that a few people have been part of that journey and having fun with it!

- One more day for the polls! Thanks to everyone who has voted on it. One of them is turning out to be a battle till the end. If you haven't voted, they are on the right of this page and you have an open invitation to do so. New ones will be up this weekend!

- One thing I learned about the art from the start...don't ever flex "podcasting muscles"...that's even more pathetic than flexing "moderator muscles"! ....oh and funnier! LMAO!

- Rereading the New Generation novels remind me how much I dislike the character of Scott Bernard. The novels portray him as arrogant and it just stuck with me. Any reasons why I should change my view? Let me know...

- I try to repress that New Generation is asscoiated to the Shadow Chronicles....Where's my copy of "End of the Circle"???

- Robotech is adapted from Macross, Southern Cross and Mospeada...see nothing wrong with saying that!

- Now that I will have completed the Original 85 story through the novels...Am I going to move on to the others?.....(exhales slowly).....I don't know. The readings have worn me out a bit!...I do want to do a strictly Sentinels show and of course part of that IS the novels. ....We'll see how we work it out!

- The move to a biweekly schedule after the episode coming up this weekend was by no means an easy one. The show has become a regular stamp for me from week to week. In the end though, I think this will work out best. It allows me the time to balance out other things. Plus, I plan to focus more on the blog. And while it will be every other week, who's not to say I pop up in the off week with a little Mini/Random Cast? So I see it as a win-win!

My "Little Robotech Defender" turns 1 next week....she's all grown up....WHERE'S MY ROBOTECH DVD SET???

- Now let me tell you something in regards to.....hmmm?...nope...gonna hold off on talking about that....good things come to those who wait!..Hee Hee!

Lots of epigraphs in these readings. Like I said in the last episode, I'm not going to go over the entire story. just picking and choosing excerpts. Mini-Entrevista con Ameban

There's going to be a schedule change after next week's episode. I will be moving to bi-weekly schedule as of Episode #18. I want to balance things outside of the podcast realm and I think this will work out perfectly. Everything stays the same with the show except that there will be a show every two weeks. This also will let post more on the blog as i do want to get back into just a general flow of writing and who's not to say that in between weeks I come out with a little RandomCast every now and then. The last few weeks with getting sick and just really falling behind on things I don't want to let you guys down when you have been so supportive of the show. When I canceled a couple of weeks ago, I'll be honest, I really took it hard because while Robotech is indeed a hobby and something I'm a fan of, I've set the expectation for myself to go out there with the show in a timely manner and it kinda got me down that I didn't deliver. I think with this change I can come out stronger! 2009 was a year of achievement for me and 2010 will be even better. Not just with The Protoculture Times, but with everything I do!

Sorry once again....

I'll have Episode 16 out on Sunday afternoon. I'm fine, just a little behind on things. recordings are taking a little bit longer than usual so instead of getting frustrated with it, I'll just take a step back and come out stronger tomorrow. 

I do apologize once again. Many say, I don't have to do that, but you guys are so great to the show and that means a lot!

RANDOM THOUGHTS 02/04/10

Work was kinda sucky today so a few Random Thoughts is the usual cure for occupational blues....

I've seen a few comments from this past weekend's conevtion stop with Tommy Yune and Carl Macek...nothing new and almost the same slideshow Tomm'y used for past conventions...

I can't believe he still uses the "Prelude sells for almost $80 on Ebay" schtick!" (DOUBLE FACEPALM)

If you're a Facebook user, I put a real nice drawing made by Lynn Williams, author of Atlantech up on my page. Girl, you got some serious talent!

See Tommy what you can do when you really APPLY yourself!

I've been wondering and anybody that wants to chime in you are more than welcome to. You have the Shadow Chronicles, a Tommy Yune product. He retcons some of the canon to work it into the story. The Sentinels are pretty much discarded, very loose if any connections to the story that has been around for 20 years...

Could it be that Tommy really wants to disassociate the Original 85 from the franchise? I mean in the last few years, what has been the REAL focus in Robotech from Harmony Gold's standpoint?

Shadow Chronicles....

In this, the 25th anniversary of the Original 85...somewhat of a slap in the face to what started it all. Like an unwanted stepchild, Tommy orders it to its room so he can showcase his "baby".

Macross Rights?......Does it matter?...Apparently to Memo and Maverick....it's EVERYTHING! Try and contradict them on Robotech.com. Hee hee! (Warning: You WILL get banned)

And Maverick..I've concluded you are just a seriously disturbed individual...I'll be watching "World's Dumbest Criminals" now....

I wonder what a typical "day at the office" over at Harmony Gold is like....I'm open to theories.

I think the Fan works keep the spirit of Robotech alive...Tommy, you can learn so much from these people...maybe learn to put some heart and effort behind the "work" you do for the franchise..

The poll questions are shaping up pretty nicely...keep at it people and take advantage of the freedom to vote!

Rereading the Masters Saga novels is a treat. A lot of people put it down and that's the diversity of opinion for you. The novels really helped me see the story beyond the original animation. Expect a lot of epigraphs to be read this go around!

So many little Robotech websites out there that go unnoticed....The Protoculture Times will try its best to "notice".

I really enjoyed Random Thoughts Lightning Edition on the last RandomCast. The DING! really gave it something different. 

I'm just a guy who was crazy enough to do a Robotech podcast, the jury is still out on my sanity!

A lot of fans are praying  for a Live Action Movie....I think Harmony Gold is doing the same.

What's more believable...Paramount Studios "quaking in their boots" on the chance that a Live Action Movie is made...or Harmony Gold "quaking in their boots" on the chance that a Live Action Movie doesn't get made?

Guys, I just don't think it will work....or happen! Ok...let me rephrase that....1 chance in 5.

Does anybody notice how when many people talk about The Shadow Chronicles, they don't attach the word Robotech to it. Hmmmm....the wonders of the human psyche!

A lot of passionate Robotech fans out there with so much knowledge....they should make a podcast!

One of my major hangups is second guessing myself.... 

What will all the criticism about Harmony Gold's inaction for the Robotech franchise result in?.......Absolutely nothing!...but fans have a right to criticize...there are some though who think you should bow your head and obey...LOL! 

IT'S ANNIVERSARY TIME BABY! Harmony Gold is Harmony Gold. It's about Robotech! I celebrate it for the entertainment it's provided me for 25 years through the Original 85, the novels, the comics, the rpgs. And I know Carl Macek takes a beating from fans out there, but I will always be grateful to him and the entire crew back in the early 80s who got in the studio to bring Robotech to life.   

See, you CAN criticize the Harmony Golds and Tommy Yunes of the world and still love that Macross, Masters and New Generation! LOL!
