Why hello there!
From the home office chair another round of musings.....been a few weeks......how time flies...
First off, The Robotech Character Clash Tournament has indeed turned into a WORLDWIDE EVENT. It never ceases to impress me of how global the Robotech fandom is! I'm glad everyone is having fun with it and getting their votes in. Challonge.com gets the big KUDOS on great tournament brackets and the random first round matchups. Some of those matchups, with two days to go in the voting seem to have been more than "decided", but you have a few that we are going to come down right to the wire. Remember; IN THE EVENT OF A TIE, I RESORT TO THE COIN FLIP!.....Please don't let it come down to that. I want winners to be decided by YOUR votes.....you hold the champion's destiny in your hands!
And THANK YOU to everyone who has participated so far....SPREAD THE WORD AND HAVE FUN!
In Round 2 we should really start seeing the "favorites" coming out......but I STILL predict a "Cinderella" story to emerge. That's the beauty of something like this...ANYTHING can happen!

In other news.....
Prelude to the Shadow Chronicles is out on trade paperback..........I may need to stop by my local bookstore to look at it.....but NO chance at all of me actually buying it. But hey, this is just one fan talking. If you like it, that's great!
Running into more and more Robotech web gems out there......it takes some interesting filtering on Google, but they do exist! I need to make sidebar with links to some of them!
If you are a fan from outside the United States.....what's Robotech fandom in your country?.....Let me know!
Will there be ANY new developments about Robotech's future announced at Comicon this year? Or will it be a wash-rinse-repeat session?
Now I've been critcial of the boys at Harmony Gold....but I will stand by what I said....they owe us NOTHING! You can like or not like what they do with Robotech.....or what they DON'T do with it. Saying "They owe me for my years of loyalty!!!".....hmmmmm.......I refuse to subscribe to that type of thinking. Fandom is a choice...whether being a part of or saying.....enough is enough! For me....there is enough out there for me to enjoy and celebrate.....the rest.....not part of MY Robotech story, that simple, simple as that!

Episode #25- This will be kicking off of our Sentinels Journey. I'm holding off for the moment because of the First Round of the Tournament.....we will get back on track shortly.
A Live Show?........I have to meet certain "conditions" in order for that to happen. (it's all on ME) I'm trying......
A little behind the scenes on how the transition from round to round for the tournament goes....
- Each round ends at 11:59PM. Th Blogger clock takes this time as Pacific Standard Time. This means that it actually closes at 2 AM MY time. (good thing the rounds end on a Friday night!)
- At 2AM I close off access to the blog to just me.
- I delete all the current polls on the blog page.
- I create the polls for the next round and post those.
- I update the brackets, manually.
- I update the blog with a post for the next round!
- I open access to the blog again for voting to commence!
- Go to sleep for a few hours...then record a results show and upload that!
It means a long night.....but ya know......IT'S WORTH IT 'CAUSE I'M HAVING FUN!!!!!
I mean hey..........IT'S ANNIVERSARY TIME BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
