Who can opinionate on Robotech????

Let me answer this question from the get-go.....EVERYBODY.

From the staunchest of supporters to the most passionate of haters and everyone in between, people will have their two cents to chime in about the franchise, the fandom, individuals in it..etc., etc. etc.

If someone likes Robotech?.....Ok.

If someone loves it?.....ok again.

If someone loves it but can bash different aspects of it?.....again.......ok.

If someone absolutely hates Robotech with a passion and would love nothing more than to see it fall into the abyss of obscurity as an abomination to the anime and science fiction world?

Yeppers....ok too.

I've said in the past of how I was very naive to certain things in Robotech when I started all this. One of those things is the disdain that people have for Robotech. I never realized how bad it was and the digs that it receives. I've had people confront me and scoff at my love for it and for even doing the podcast.

How has all that "hate" affect anything I do?

Not in the least bit........

I never have, nor EVER WILL have the need to justify or defend that I'm a Robotech fan or EVEN LESS apologize for it. People want to hate it and wish it ill? Fine by me. That's their affair. Hasn't affected the way I do my show and it's something I don't concern myself with. And it should be noted that I number non-Robotech fans among listeners to the "Times". I must either provide them with some entertainment or I make them hate Robotech all the more. But hey, that's their opinion. I do the podcast to have fun, not preach or defend the imaginary "Robotech gospel" or vanquish the "infidels" in some kind of idiotic war. (I.E. Macross VS. Robotech)

Someone takes issue with that......do something about it......OTHER than talk.

By the same token, a fan of Robotech has every right to bash the product, call out Harmony Gold, point out the flaws or even say TO HELL WITH THIS! Robotech is by no means perfect. The whole "good Robotech fan" VS the "bad Robotech fan" concept is a retarded one right down to its core.

Who is ANYONE to tell me or any other Robotech fan how to enjoy it and whether an opinion can be given about it?

Those anyone are NOBODYS,  that simple.....simple as that.

So let's see how it works.....I'll be called a Macross Purist.....that I suck......that I'm not a Robotech fan....or is it first that I suck....then a Macross Purist....or is it first that I'm not a Robotech fan.

I say this because to actually see someone attempt to do something about it......OTHER than talk would really show how "far" the fandom will have come....."defending the honor" of Robotech.

(ROLLS EYES)...I'd laugh if it weren't pathetic.

Honestly, I've got a show to produce, something much more relevant than continue wasting my time on this subject.

Love Robotech, hate it, or don't give a shit about it, be my guest! Have opinions on it, knock yourselves out!

Just remember the concept of "someone else's opinion"...LOL!
