Hi all!
I hope everyone had a great Holiday Season in union with your families and loved ones!
Well, 2009 is coming to an end and I always like to look back on what the year was and look ahead on th year to come. Obviously for 2009, The Protoculture Times became part of my life and I wanted to do a Randomcast taking a look back at the last 3 1/2 months...(It's only been THAT long????...LOL!)
Download this episode (right click and save)
It's been fun! Perfect? Well not always. Every road has its bumps in the road but it's made me a better person because of it. I look back at some of the things I have run into along this journey and my thoughts and opinions ranging from;
The high point?
How naive I was?
The state of the Robotech Franshise?
Have I ever wanted to quit doing this?
Harmony Gold?
The Robotech Live Action Movie?
Robotech.com?
The funniest moments?
Everyone's "favorite" Robotech.com moderators...
Tommy Yune
The TRUE heroes of the Robotech Franchise!
My thoughts on 2010 for The Protoculture Times....
And remember guys and girls....these are my thoughts and opinions....not some GOSPEL that you have to accept as truth. Always excercise your right to form your own opinions! I had a lot to say as the journey has been so eventful and above all else FUN!
THANK YOU to all who have joined me along the way, it has been my privelage. I look forward to 2010 for more episodes and to celebrating the 25th anniversary of Robotech in the best way possible.
Seeya on Saturday January 9th for a brand new episode of The Protoculture Times! And to EVERYONE, my well wishes for a prosperous 2010!

MICHAEL BRADLEY!!!!
I want to thank Michael for taking time out of his schedule to sit down with The Protoculture Times. He is friendly person, funny and is grateful to the Robotech fans for all their appreciation! It was a GREAT time! Although I was nervous, he put me at ease and we talked about so much! His career, his inspirations, what he's been up to and of course, his involvement with ROBOTECH! ! It was a true privilege to talk to such a highly regarded personality in the fandom.
Thank you again to Vivian Lanza. You are such a joy and just like Michael, a friend now and always, BIG HUGS!
And to the listeners. Your belief in this show, with your kind words and encouragement of "keep on going!" are a big part of why this happened. I consider this "our" high moment that I share with all of you!
And please excuse the geeky host saying AWESOME throughout the conversation, but it was...TOTALLY AWESOME!
But before that we do have of course;
THE SHOUTOUTS!
Sayin' hi to all those who have stopped by!
Whitehall - Robotech's future is indeed a question mark. Kudos on exercising your right to an opinion as a fan!
Brian3D, you sir have made me switch my thinking that the Logan is the ugliest mecha in Robotech. Click here to check out Brian's Logan project!
You definitely give the Logan its charm! Nice job!
To blog poster "R." In regards to your question about Rand's line in the episode titled Hard Times where he says to Rook's mom "Get a job!" I've asked a few people and I'm being told that it was just ad-lib just to add dialogue for the sake of adding it. I'll keep asking around and if anyone has any rhyme or reason on that, let me know!
Mike....you told me so! (there I said it...lol!)
Incisivis (INSIZE-IVIS, sorry about all the mispronunciations), We must talk Sentinels in the near future!
ROBOTECH FILES - A two for one deal today! We will conclude the New Generation story and talk about my one time nemesis....THE MECHA! (Disclaimer: May make experts on mecha "facepalm" conitnually!)
For those that want to follow my ramblings about the mecha, in the order that I talk about them;

EPISODE #11 - NEW GENERATION OF PC PROBLEMS! WHAT A WEEK!
Hi al1!
Well a day late, for which I apologize. Laptop is up and running and I was able to record this episode and edit it in ONE DAY. Not something I want to do on a regular basis. I want to thank all the listeners for their continued support.
Download this episode (right click and save)
What's on the agenda this go around!
SHOUTOUTS! - Thanking all those who take time out of their day for ol' JT!
HI HARMONY GOLD!
Click here to see IceBlue106 aka Dave's completed Hanger Deck Project! AWESOME JOB DAVE!
THE ROBOTECH FILES - We go into the first part of the New Generation story! Click here to watch the New Generation on Youtube legally and for free!
OFF THE SCI FI SHELF - I always like the "what if" scenarios in the Robotech story. The possibilities are endless. Star Wars actually tried it with the comic series Infinities. Click here to read about it!
We definitely need to do a "what if show" in the future!
THE PROTOCULTURE TIMES POLL RESULTS - What "impacts" Robotech the most? (according to those that voted!) and a new poll question to take us into 2010!
THE ROBOTECH WORD OF THE SHOW - Putting "value" to Robotech.com moderators' actions and words.
IN THE ROBOTECH SPOTLIGHT - Zor is the most tragic figure in the Robotech universe in my opinion but there is another character that actually invokes sympathy from me.
We'll be doing a year end RandomCast in the last week of December...AND I AM LOOKIN FORWARD TO THAT! I'll let you knowthe exact date!
And next week....MICHAEL BRADLEY.........EXCITING! (I'll admit though, I'm nervous!)
Seeya!

This isn't my week.....
SIGHS,,,,,
My usually reliable laptop...where my mixer and mic are connected to ...the nexus of my show...has crashed but thanks to an extended warranty through Dell, it was a corrupted file and the hard drive is being reformatted and reloaded to original specs.(As I am writing it is at 33%^.)
The result of this is that I have to reload my audio software and utilities and I lost all my notes and everything that I recorded for episode 11.
This really sucks! I am writing to you from my desktop and while it is a functioning PC...moving it to my bedroom and connect it to my audio setup or vice versa for just a few hours is more of a pain than it's worth...
The way it's looking like right now, while I am definitely not going to cancel, Episode 11 will be out on Sunday...
I apologize to everyone as I like to keep things consistent but like I said WAY BACK in Episode 1, LIFE does happen and beleive me, I hate when stuff like this happens as I am the type to let these little things get me all uptight...but it's the Holiday Season and time to be of GOOD CHEER! (gggrrrrrr!)
So Sunday guys and girls!
Thanks to all! Seeya!
